You know what kind of day you have to look forward to when you wake up with a tongue swoollen by 1/2 it's origingal size with a hive, & the roof of your mouth swollen with another hive.  Makes it kind of difficult to swallow or talk.  Makes me kind of feel like you-know-what .

But after the grandkids go home today, I'm heading up to the river for some R & R.  Which is probably where I ran into the allergens causing these hives in the first place.  Pretty soon I wont be able to smell anything, as my nose will be swollen shut ... I wont be able to see anything, as my eyes will be swollen shut ... I wont be able to hear anything, as ... well, you get the whole ugly picture don't you?   Soon I'll just be one grotesque swollen mass laying immobil on the couch.  

Yeah, it's gonna be one of those days.

This is sweet little Bagel.

She's another of the local river dogs up at the cabin.  We're not sure what her real name is, as her person told us he's always just called her "Dog".
Well ... sorry, but I'm just not gonna call her Dog, so we always call her Bagel the Beagle.

You can tell she's had some kind of history.  She's very skittish at loud, sudden movements or noises, & she's very wary of hands.  As you can see in the picture, she's very sweet & lovey & loves being petted, but you have to approach her with a lot of patience & slowness.

She always comes running to greet us when she sees our vehicle approaching! 

WHAT???? Tuffy lost by one measly vote! I KNEW I should changed puters and come back... SEVERAL times! ;-)

Sorry to hear about the hives.... sucks that a place you enjoy so much (the river) is so darn hard on your body. Antihistamines dont help?

Either way..... enjoy your weekend (its a long one up here) and give BOTH Bagel and Tuffy a hug for me!

Gosh Cathy, sure hope you are feeling better by now. Bagel is really cute and my guess is that someone hit him at one time hence being afraid of "hands". Poor little dog. Seems you and the grandkids are making lots friends at the cabin, lol.
