~ Hi ~
Anyhoo, Happy Valentine's Day to you and yours! (And we miss ya just a wee bit, too!)
. . It is good to be reading writings from you again. . & I am very glad that your grandbaby is doing very very well
. . WOW
That would be wayyyyy tooooo much for me to handle! I am glad it all turned out well in the end. .& what a birthday to remember!
Have you seen the new HBO series John from Cincinatti?
It's only been on for 3 episodes so far, & even tho it's a little wierd & I'm not really sure WTH it's all about, I give it a big thumbs up! It's not for kids, or those easily offended by the constant use of the the F word tho.
The show basically revolves around a family of 3 generations with surfing running thru their veins. Granparents are raising their grandson becuz drug addled Dad can't do it ... However, I'm not really sure how, exactly, John from C relates to them ...
I think John is supposed to be someone God sent to Earth to save the family, but I'm not real sure. There is a lot of supernatural stuff that's happened to the family & their close ones since Johns strange arrival in their lives, from literally out of the blue.
Anyway, while I can't really explain what it's all about, it is very good. Rebecca De Mornay, who plays the part of the chain smoking, head strong, hot tempered surfer dude grandma, looks fantastik! And, Greyson Fletcher, the kid who plays her young grandson, is your typical authentic beach bum looking little heart throb! He reminds me a lot of one the Hanson kids of the once popular bee-bop group The Hansons.
And what about that final finale of The Sopranos ??!! I really liked it!
I never really go into watching The Sopranos much, but my son has always been one of those you could find glued to the TV each week to watch it. So, when a temporary emplyment lay off put a bit of a strain on his finances, causing him to give up his cable TV, he started parking himself in front of my TV every Sunday nite for an hour to watch it. So, I inadvertantly found myself getting a bit caught up in it too.
You should have seen him freak at the end of the final episode
He thought someone had accidently hit a button on the remote right at the very last minute of the show - the show he'd been anticipating for WEEKS - & turned off the TV
And FINALLY!! A new season of Big Love, about a family of polygamists, has begun! I think this is only the second season, at least as far as I know. I really liked the first season & have been looking very forward to the new season, but so far I'm seeing a lot of the first season story lines repeated it seems.
NEVER thought I'd get caught up in soap operas, & honestly, I can't stomach day time soaps, but these nite time HBO Original Series things are pretty addicting!
Pic of the Week

I captured a guilty grin on hubbys face Sunday morning when I caught him on film eating the last of the left over birthday cake - straight out of the box!
